The Golf Event has raised $471,000 over the last 11 years to improve health care in Squamish and throughout the entire corridor.
Dr Laverne Kindree, Chairman of the Foundation has stated "that the equipment purchased ranging from digital tele- radiography to operating dental chairs treats 1,605 patients annually or 17,600 patients over 11 years. Over 30 pieces of medical equipment were acquired as a result of this event credited with expanding medical services immeasurably".
One out of ten folks every year benefits, however the demand for better health care services within the corridor requires a CT Scanner, an Expanded Emergency Room and doubling the size of Residence Care for Seniors.
A project of this magnitude depends on the entire community getting behind Canada's number one concern better health care, and even more so if the Community is to achieve a higher level of self suffciency in its health care services.
This great cause is a success due in large part to a team of presenting sponsors who showcase the event, businesses of all kinds that assemble teams of players to enjoy the event and many donors and suppliers that rally behind it.
