Interested in donating to the Canadian Cancer Society and helping battle breast cancer, but not sure how to help?
Then run a Golf Fore the Cure event before the end of the season.
RCGA Golf Fore the Cure, presented by Subaru, is a program aimed at growing women’s participation in the game of golf through fun, non-intimidating golf related activities.
As a unique element to the program, a partnership with the Canadian Cancer Society (and Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation in Quebec) allows women from across the country to participate in golf activities and raise money for a cause close to all women’s hearts – breast cancer research.
How you can get involved in this unique program:
1) Run a Golf Fore the Cure Event at your golf course
If you already run a golf tournament (e.g. Ladies’ Days) you may easily convert the event/day into a Golf Fore the Cure event and raise money for this worthwhile cause.
The RCGA and our generous sponsors will provide exciting gifts, prizes and fundraising incentives to enhance your event.
Resources from the RCGA are provided to help make your event planning and the day of your event run smoothly – planning guide, signage, ribbons, and more.
There is no cost for your club or event to become a part of this program, all you need to do is sign up!
All funds raised by your site will be designated back to your provincial Canadian Cancer Society (or QBCF) office to help fight the battle against Breast Cancer.
2) Other Types of Events that may be run under the Golf Fore the Cure banner
Provincial Event – Executed by the Provincial Golf Associations
Corporate Event – Catering to women who work in a corporate setting
National Event – Corporate Teams and General Teams are invited to participate in our National Event held in September of each year
The RGCA provides your site with:
- All signage (GFTC, Subaru Safest Drive, Lopez Closest to the Pin, Corona Beach Escape) and promotional material.
- Step stakes to place the signs in the ground.
- Pink ribbons for each participant.
Our sponsors provide you with:
- - Pink Corona Hats for each participant
