CJGA Announces Appointment Of New British Columbia Tournament Director

Richmond Hill, Ont.  (January 23, 2012) - The Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) is pleased to announce the hiring of British Columbia PGA professional Brad Ewart as the new CJGA Tournament Director for the province of British Columbia today.

Brad begins his tenure with CJGA immediately and will oversee the British Columbia event operations and continuing to grow on the CJGA’s six stage competitive development program that speaks to the British Columbia junior golfer.

Brad, a father of two, has been involved in the golf industry in British Columbia for more than 25 years.

Brad has held many positions in the golf industry including teaching professional for the City of Burnaby, Director/Communication of Optimist Junior Linkster Golf as well as the Executive Producer and host of the television show The Golf Show Great Golf Destinations.

Ewart, a former professional on the Asian Tour (1990-1991) and competitive amateur player in British Columbia has been an advocate of junior golf and wanted to explore ways to help foster the game he is so passionate about in his province.

“Brad has shown his passion for the game and junior golf through his involvement with the Optimist Junior Linkster Tour.  

His experience in the golf industry, both on the playing side and the administrative side, Brad brings a great deal of knowledge and expertise to our program in the province of British Columbia said Brad Parkins, Chief Operations Officer of the CJGA.
