B.C. Golf Community Mourns The Passing Of Ward Stouffer

Ward Stouffer, who spent more than 20 years as head professional and director of golf at Fairwinds Golf Club in Nanoose Bay, died Thursday January 5th. He was 56.
 
Friends and playing competitors remember Stouffer, who stood about 6-feet, 8 inches, as a gentle giant with a heart of gold who hit the ball a mile.

Crown Isle Resort And Golf Community To Host Q-School Through 2020

(Oakville, Ont.) – As recently announced by the PGA TOUR, Crown Isle Resort and Golf Community will host one of the Mackenzie Tour – PGA TOUR Canada’s Qualifying Tournaments in each of the next five seasons. 
 
Located in Courtenay, British Columbia, the 7,025 yard Graham Cooke and Associates layout has hosted qualifying tournaments in each of the past two years, with the 2016 tournament taking place May 2-6.

Five Canadian Golfers Gain Conditional Status On PGA Tour Canada

Four beautiful days of sunshine at the Crown Isle Resort & Golf Club saw five Canadian golfers gain conditional status on PGA Tour Canada for the 2015 season.
 
While medallist Eric Onesi of the United States won the coveted season-long exemption on Tour, local product Stu Anderson, along with fellow Canadian Wil Bateman finished in the top 18 and will have direct entry to the first six events on the PGA Tour Canada schedule.
 
After those six events, there will be a reshuffle.
