Stephen Ames To Take Time Away From Golf

After missing the cut at this past week's British Open Championship, Calgary's Stephen Ames alluded in an interview that it was time for him to make some major changes in his golf team as well as maybe just stepping away from the game for a while.
The only Canadian to tee it up at Royal Lytham & St. Annes after managing to win a qualifying event and gain entry into the 141st playing of golf's oldest national championship, Ames carded rounds of 74 and 73 to finish at seven-over par.

Calgary, Alta. (August 19, 2011) – Day three of the 2011 Stephen Ames Cup concluded today at Canyon Meadows Golf and Country Club in Calgary.
Both CJGA Team Canada and Trinidad & Tobago entered the final day of competition with a shot at taking home the title, but the Canadians proved too much for their Caribbean counterparts.
CJGA Team Canada won five of the eight singles matches to beat Trinidad 10 ½ to 5 ½ and retain the title.
