DOURO-DUMMER, Ontario (CJGA) — The 10th annual Canadian International Junior Challenge is set to begin at Wildfire Golf Club in Ontario cottage country, with six teams ready to challenge for the coveted title. The national squad from England has won the three day stroke play competition a record 6 times.

BURLINGTON, Ontario — The Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) Nike Golf Junior Championship is set to take place at Hidden Lake Golf Club this weekend. The championship brings together division winners from 8 Nike Golf Junior Series events, held across Canada over the course of the season. Considered among one of the top national junior events in Canada, the Nike Golf Junior Championship is an event like no other on the CJGA schedule.
Beginning on Friday, August 19, 2016, an elite field of junior golfers will compete on the New Course at Hidden Lake, in Burlington, Ontario. Originally opened in 1962, the course has since gone under extensive renovations. One major change has been the expansion into two, very distinct, championship courses.

LETHBRIDGE, Alberta — It will be an exciting weekend, as junior golfers from across Alberta will be competing for division titles at the Nike Golf Junior Series at Henderson Lake Golf Club in Lethbridge, Alta. Winners will be given an invitation to the Nike Golf Junior Championship which will be held in Ontario later in the summer. Also up for grabs this weekend is the opportunity to represent Alberta at the Junior America's Cup in Mexico and California.

RICHMOND HILL, Ontario — The CJGA held its annual Board of Directors meeting at the associations National Head Office. As members of the board gathered for the meeting, one significant individual was missing, Larry Ungerman. A co-founder of the CJGA with Earl Fritz, Larry passed away suddenly in his Florida home on March 27, 2016. A slide show tribute to Larry opened the meeting followed by individual stories of fond memories and the impact Larry had on the many lives he touched.

Larry Ungerman passed away during his time in Florida. Larry was a true friend. He was a true inspiration and helped found the Canadian Junior Golf Association in 1992.
Being a Canadian Junior Golf Association Board member, Larry was a outstanding supporter.
