CJGA Junior Tour Kicks off First Alberta Tournament with the Nike Golf Junior Series at Henderson Lake

LETHBRIDGE, Alberta — It will be an exciting weekend, as junior golfers from across Alberta will be competing for division titles at the Nike Golf Junior Series at Henderson Lake Golf Club in Lethbridge, Alta. Winners will be given an invitation to the Nike Golf Junior Championship which will be held in Ontario later in the summer. Also up for grabs this weekend is the opportunity to represent Alberta at the Junior America's Cup in Mexico and California.

RICHMOND HILL, Ontario — The CJGA held its annual Board of Directors meeting at the associations National Head Office. As members of the board gathered for the meeting, one significant individual was missing, Larry Ungerman. A co-founder of the CJGA with Earl Fritz, Larry passed away suddenly in his Florida home on March 27, 2016. A slide show tribute to Larry opened the meeting followed by individual stories of fond memories and the impact Larry had on the many lives he touched.

Larry Ungerman passed away during his time in Florida. Larry was a true friend. He was a true inspiration and helped found the Canadian Junior Golf Association in 1992.
Being a Canadian Junior Golf Association Board member, Larry was a outstanding supporter.

RICHMOND HILL, Ontario — The Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Tour Performance LAB. The Surrey, B.C. based junior golf academy has come on as the presenting sponsor of CJGA Wester Junior Championship, a top tier event on the CJGA national schedule. The partnership will also see the Tour Performance LAB as the title sponsor for one CJGA Linkster event in the province.
“We are very pleased to announce this partnership with the Tour Performance LAB” said John Lawrence, CJGA Managing Director of Tour Operations. “The Tour Performance LAB has established themselves as a leading training academy for junior golfers, collegiate aspiring players, and young professionals.”

RICHMOND HILL, Ontario — Three national champions of the Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) are preparing to head south to compete in the inaugural Dustin Johnson World Junior Golf Championship. The event takes place February 13-15, 2016, at TPC Myrtle Beach in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina.
Peyton Callens, Ty Celone, and Max Sekulic will be representing the CJGA and Canada as they compete in the three-day competition, an event that has juniors from China, Japan, Philippines, Sweden, United Kingdom along with representation from eight different US states. All three participants captured the Boys 15-19 title at each of the three CJGA National Championships — CJGA PING Canadian Junior Match Play Championship, CJGA Mizuno National Junior Golf Championship, and Nike Golf Junior Championship.
