PGA Assistants’ Championship of Canada Headed to Nation’s Capital

This year’s PGA Assistants’ Championship of Canada is headed to the nation’s capital.

Located in Cumberland, Ont., just 15 minutes from downtown Ottawa, Camelot Golf and Country Club, will test some of the country’s finest golfers September 8-11.

“The PGA of Canada is extremely delighted to visit our nation’s capital of Ottawa and the outstanding Camelot Golf and Country Club this September,” said PGA of Canada president Constant Priondolo. “I am very confident those who participate in this national championship will not only enjoy the golf course, but the entire area as well.”

Designed by Thomas McBroom, Camelot opened for play in 1992 and was awarded second best new golf course in Canada and rated fifth in North America by Golf Digest.



PGA Women’s Championship of Canada Heading Back to Burlington

altACTON, Ontario (Chris Fry/ PGA of Canada) — The PGA Women’s Championship of Canada will return to Burlington Golf and Country Club this July.

The national championship makes its return to Burlington for the first time since 2010 from July 20-22, 2015.

“The PGA of Canada is very excited to be returning to Burlington Golf and Country Club for the first time in five years,” said PGA of Canada president Constant Priondolo. “There was tremendous support for this championship back in 2010 and I expect the same to be true this time around.”

PGA of Canada’s Cundari Receives National Coach Developer Award

altOTTAWA (Dave Kaplan/Golf Canada) — PGA of Canada Technical Director Glenn Cundari was named this year's recipient of the National Coach Developer Award presented by Investors Group at the Petro-Canada Sport Leadership Awards gala.

Created in 2012, the award is given each year to a coach who inspires and contributes to National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) coaches in their community.



Parry Leads PGA Assistants’ Championship of Canada

Bryn Parry birdied five of his last seven holes and shot a 5-under-par 67 on Tuesday to take the lead in the PGA Assistants' Championship of Canada presented by Titleist & FootJoy.

The 42-year-old from North Vancouver leads by a shot over a trio of players including Brian McCann, G.W. King, and Kyle Kirkland.
