The Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) of Canada, National Golf Foundation (NGF), and the National Golf Course Owners Association Canada (NGCOA Canada) recently met to lay down the groundwork for the creation of the Occupational Standards Research project.
The research project—which is the first of its’ kind for PGA of Canada professionals—looks to identify skills, competences and role descriptions for PGA of Canada professionals. The research will also include identification of expectations of golf facility owners and operators.

ACTON, Ontario (PGA of Canada) — The PGA of Canada is proud to announce the launch of its newest national event, the Hyundai PGA Scramble of Canada.
The Hyundai PGA Scramble of Canada is a new national series of events taking place at more than 200 golf facilities around the country in 2016, culminating with regional finals and a national final later this year.

Maple Downs Golf & Country Club and the Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Club will play host to the Mr. Lube Tournament for Life Pro-Ams this June and July.
The annual events, which support Prostate Cancer Canada, takes place on the morning of Monday, June 6th at Maple Downs G&CC and the morning of Monday, July 18th at the Fairmont Banff Springs GC.
“Mr. Lube is strongly committed to helping advance the work of Prostate Cancer Canada and our continued partnership with the PGA of Canada, together with presenting sponsor, Mobil Lubricants, will provide an incredible experience for our guests at both Maple Downs and Banff Springs,” said Mr. Lube Canada President & CEO Stuart Suls.

Folks who have never been to PGA of Canada Night at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Fla., often ask me, “Well, what’s it all about?”
The simple answer is that PGA of Canada Night is the largest yearly gathering of the Canadian golf industry. Period.
But, the night is actually much more than the simple answer.
It’s where Canadian who attend the PGA Merchandise show gather to celebrate golf in Canada; recognize PGA of Canada national award winners; honour new inductees into the PGA of Canada Hall of Fame; meet friends and colleagues—both new and old; and this year, it’s will also be the site for George S. Lyon’s 1904 Olympic Golf trophy.
