Alena Sharp Wins Canadian Women's PGA In Marathon Playoff

(ACTON, ON) September 2, 2011: Hamilton's Alena Sharp won the PGA Women's Championship, presented by Nike Golf in a dramatic 8-hole playoff against Toronto amateur Anna Kim at Bayview Golf and Country Club that took two days to complete.

Sharp, Canada’s No 1 ranked LPGA Tour Player and Kim, a high-schooler, played head-to-head over 6 playoff holes until play had to be suspended due to darkness.

CALGARY, AB:  Vincent Dumouchel of Candiac, QC won the 2011 PGA Championship of Canada sponsored by Mr. Lube and presented by TaylorMade/adidas Golf after beating Brian McCann of Mississauga, ON on the 19th hole to claim his first National Championship at the young age of 27 years at Cottonwood Golf and Country Club.
