Golfweek Releases 2014 Best Canadian Courses List

ORLANDO, Florida — Following the March 21 release of its annual rankings of America's top modern and classic courses, Golfweek continues its celebration of great golf architecture in the April 18 issue with the unveiling of the 2014 Golfweek's Best Canadian Courses list.

Recognizing perennial favorites and must-play newcomers from both the classic and modern eras, this year's list will serve as a go-to guide for both golf architecture fans and travelers when the greatest courses of The Great White North begin their spring season later this month.

To some the phrase “swing like a girl,” could seem derogatory. That’s not the way we see it at Predator Ridge.
To us, Swing Like a Girl is about freedom and fun – to learn and play golf in a unique and compelling way.
Most of all, Swing Like a Girl has become the description for our instructional programs designed to involve more women in the game of golf.

Sagebrush Is Definitely Open To PUBLIC PLAY

It may be one of the better kept secrets in BC golf that one of country's best courses is accessible to the public.
Sagebrush Golf & Sporting Club, near Merritt, opened in 2009 with play basically limited to only "qualified" guests.
This mindset was in keeping of the idea of an ultra-private club complete with fly-fishing pond beside the 13th hole.
More recently, the ownership has invited more non-member rounds with their Guest program.



Golf Course at Shadow Mountain Sold

The golf course at Shadow Mountain has been sold to a buyers' group out of Edmonton.

According to a story posted on the website of the Cranbrook daily, The Townsman, the receiver-manager in charge of Shadow Mountain Golf Ltd. confirmed that the property has been sold to a buyers group out of Edmonton.
