Crown Isle Resort And Golf Community To Host Q-School Through 2020

(Oakville, Ont.) – As recently announced by the PGA TOUR, Crown Isle Resort and Golf Community will host one of the Mackenzie Tour – PGA TOUR Canada’s Qualifying Tournaments in each of the next five seasons. 
 
Located in Courtenay, British Columbia, the 7,025 yard Graham Cooke and Associates layout has hosted qualifying tournaments in each of the past two years, with the 2016 tournament taking place May 2-6.

(Nov 4, 2015) - In an industry that keeps hammering recession and depression into our heads, it’s easy to do what’s best for you, first.
 
I’ve been thinking a lot about the people that re-ignite my passion for this industry. The ones that have been there all along. The ones that genuinely show interest, respect, and care. The ones that just get it.

Dean Spriddle may feel fortunate to have won the PGA of Alberta Instructor Of The Year Award for a record fifth time in 2013 but luck had very little to do with it.
 
Dean Spriddle was born in England but grew up near the birthplace of golf, St. Andrews, Scotland.
 
His passion for the game started at an early age as Spriddle can distinctly remember making his first shot when he was only 2 ... Later he would go on to represent Scotland once in a match.

Matt Rollins isn’t exactly the new kid on the block when it comes to the provincial governing body of amateur golf in Alberta, having spent over a decade with the Alberta Golf Association.
 
At the same time though, he is the new executive director and as such he took some time with Inside Golf to discuss the challenges his association, and the game, are facing and what the future holds.
 
Rollins, 33, spent time with the AGA in two other roles before assuming the lead job.

Twenty-five years is a long time to be doing anything but it seems it was the right number for Brent Ellenton, the executive director of Alberta Golf.

He is stepping down this year after coming into the organization as the executive director when the Alberta Golf Association was undergoing some dramatic growth in the late 80's along with the golf industry.
