OLDS, Alberta – Cold weather and rough conditions didn’t slow down Barrett Belland in the final round of the ACAC South Regional Golf Championship in Olds.
The fifth-year Commerce major from St. Albert rolled with the punches, posting an even-par 72 to finish at minus-1 for the tourney (after a first round 71), winning the crown by two shots over U of A-Augustana golfer Colton Leslie (73-72).
Belland’s performance also led MacEwan to a comfortable win in the team category, too – a 584 that was 36 strokes better than second-place U of A-Augustana.
