LPGA’s CN Women’s Open To return To Edmonton In 2013

Apparently once was not enough for the LPGA and the Royal Mayfair Golf Club in the heart of Edmonton’s beautiful river valley. And neither was twice.
 
After overwhelming successes in their first two go-rounds with the CN Canadian Women’s Open in 1996 and 2007 at the private club in the heart of the city, the LPGA has decided to pay another return visit, this time in August of 2013.

Alberta Online Booking Site Geared For Bigger Things This Year

After a year of having people dig their name out of the rough on the Internet and then  discover the beauty of booking tee times online, Play Golf Alberta is intent on seeing their users find nothing but the short grass this golf season.
 
Owner Jeff Sveen said the first year for his company was one “full of positive feedback from the members who booked online with us. We just want to fine tune the website to make the experience easier for new users.

Hard to believe it is almost March! My last update came mid January. I wrapped up last month with my annual pilgrimage down to the PGA Show in Orlando, Florida.
 
It was a fantastic trip and I got to see all of the new goodies in the golf industry!  
 
The week started off with a multi manufacturer golf day followed by Nike’s launch of the Speed Trials.
 
Nike athletes, MLB’s Ken Griffey Jr., LPGA’s Suzann Pettersen and NFL’s Sterling Sharp were on hand showing how increased speed leads to distance.
 
I am excited to hit my new clubs!
