Rocky Mountain Adventure

My husband and I were recently planning a golf getaway and we decided to take a road trip. We thought about Bandon Dunes in Oregon and even tossed around Palm Springs.

Then it hit us. We had not yet played some of the most spectacular golf courses in our own backyard, the Banff Springs and Jasper Park Lodge courses. So we set off on our Rocky Mountain Golf adventure. Having never stayed at the Fairmont Banff Springs we thought we’d splurge and check into the “Castle in the Rockies,” which opened in 1888.

Results From The Srixon Deep South Tour’s First Two Events - Spring 2007

The Srixon Deep South Tour started the 2007 season at Riverview GC April 30th. Mother Nature was kind and the course conditions matched the day. 21 professionals took part and a special thank you must go to Drake Mason from Srixon for helping with the season opener.

2-under par 69 was the benchmark for a first place playoff between Derek Czyz (Connaught) and Jamie Kureluk (Cottonwood). The second extra hole proved to be decisive as Kureluk won the first event of the season and a cheque for $858. Czyz was rewarded with $440 for finishing second. The top third of the field was paid out.
