Canadian Pacific To Sponsor Canadian Women's Open

altCanadian Pacific has stepped up to become the title sponsor of the Canadian Women's Open Golf Championship.

The three year agreement will see the tournament renamed the Canadian Pacific Women's Open with the inaugural event being held at the London Hunt and Country Club in London, Ont. next August.
 
Canadian Pacific takes over from Canadian National, which had been the title sponsor of the event since 2006.

U of Manitoba Reveals Plan To Convert Golf Course Into Housing

The University of Manitoba is poised to develop a giant swath of land next to the newly-finished Bombers stadium.
 
The university now owns what was once Southwood Golf and Country Club and wants to redevelop the area into mixed-use housing and retail space.

Golf 4 A Cure with the help of Golden Eagle Golf Club as title sponsor, a Division of Aquilini Properties raised over $20,000.00 at The Golf 4 A Cure Golf Tournament this year alone.
 
The cheque was presented to the BC Cancer Foundation on Wednesday October 16, 2013.
 
Funds still to arrive will equal a grand total of over $40,000.00, this is thanks to a matching gift to the BC Cancer Foundation by the Conconi family.

PGA of Alberta Announces New Executive Director

The PGA of Alberta has come to an agreement and signed a new Executive Director to replace the departing Phil Berbue.

Robert Rousselle takes on his new position after the PGA of Alberta went through an extensive search of over 80 candidates.
 
Rousselle will be starting on October 1st and will have 3 weeks with Berube to learn and ask questions, both will be at the Buying Show in October and the PGA of Alberta has said they see this time as a great chance for Rouselle to learn about their association.

St. George’s Golf and Country Club Hires Tom Doak and Ian Andrew as Consulting Architects

TORONTO, Ontario — Tom Doak and Ian Andrew have been selected as the new consulting architects for St. George’s Golf and Country Club.

The two noted architects are joining forces to work together for the first time and will be at St. George’s in the coming weeks to meet with club members as Doak takes on his first project in Canada.
