Bear Mountain Moves Mountains... Of Sand

Just 10 days before opening course superintendent Darren Burns organized for the use of a helicopter to move 1.2 million pounds of bunker sand to its final destination
As most people in the golf world (or at least western Canada) know by now, Bear Mountain Golf Resort opened its second 18 holes for play on May 30. 

What is not known was that after more than 2 years of construction and with only 10 days left to opening, 9 of the holes still did not have any sand in the bunkers.
