Gary Player Selected for First Design Project in Vietnam

The focus of the new course construction in the Far East has shifted to Vietnam, as its government has established an environment conducive to golf centered real estate development and tourism. Saujana Golf & Country ClubSELANGOR, Malaysia — Saujana Golf & Country Club in Malaysia has been announced as the 15th member of the exclusive European Tour Properties network, becoming an official European Tour Destination.

It is only the third venue outside of Europe to gain European Tour Destination status and the 11th in total.

Located approximately 15km outside the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur, Saujana hosted the Malaysian Open in 1999, won by American Gerry Norquist, which entered the record books as the first event to be co-sanctioned by The European and Asian Tours.
