NAPLES, Florida (LPGA) — The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) announced that XL Catlin, a global (re) insurance leader, has been named an Official Marketing Partner in the LPGA family and will present a season-long XL Catlin Volunteer Service Award.

For every tournament week on the LPGA Tour schedule, a volunteer nominee will be recognized and their story told on various media platforms across TV, LPGA.com, social and in the local media.

At the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship, one volunteer from all those nominees will be selected to win $10,000, a sum that will go to the charity of the tournament which nominated the volunteer.

XL Catlin CEO Mike McGavick said: “We’re pleased to be partnering with the LPGA and look forward to helping recognize the important work done by the organization’s volunteers. Given the sport’s international focus and the LPGA’s particular focus on advancing women in professional sports, this is a natural fit with our global client base and our own initiatives to promote diversity and inclusion in the insurance and reinsurance industry.”

“The LPGA is proud to welcome XL Catlin to our global family,” said LPGA Commissioner Mike Whan. “Volunteers generously give of their time to make our events successful for our partners and charities and together we look forward to highlighting their stories each week.”

The three-year partnership will also include hospitality programs in various markets as well as Founding Partner status of the LPGA Women’s Network, which was launched in August of this year as an online forum for female golfers.
