Dow Views Partnership With LPGA As A Premier Opportunity To Promote Inclusion, Both On-The-Course And In Careers.

The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) announced that The Dow Chemical Company (Dow), a global science and technology leader headquartered in Midland, Mich., has been named an Official Marketing Partner and will have a presence throughout the LPGA Tour season with hospitality at various events and via a digital content platform through the LPGA Women’s Network and LPGA.com.

"The Dow team is excited to partner with the LPGA and the Women’s Network to explore the powerful intersections between golf and life, specifically in the areas of careers and inclusion," said Karen S. Carter, Dow’s chief inclusion officer.

"Dow has been involved with the game of golf for a long time, including selling many of our products and solutions into the golf world. We look forward to using this network to help attract more women to the game, and utilizing golf as a vehicle for career advice and advancement."

As an LPGA Marketing Partner, Dow will be involved in various Partner events, contribute to both the LPGA Women’s Network and LPGA.com, and participate in various LPGA Tour event activities to promote inclusion and career advancement for women.

Dow was previously announced as a Founding Partner of the LPGA Women’s Network in January when the online network, designed to help nurture female interest in the game of golf, was officially launched during the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando.

Over the course of the 2018 LPGA Tour season, the Network will chronicle the journey of Carter as she strives to learn the game of golf with tips and lessons from LPGA Tour player and Dow Ambassador Suzann Pettersen and LPGA Teaching & Club Professionals.

"The LPGA is proud to welcome Dow to our family,” said LPGA Commissioner Mike Whan. “Dow is a leader in developing an inclusive corporate culture for women and we look forward to Karen sharing her journey and her story with our fans and readers."
