MJT Launches 20th Season Of Over 75 Events

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (MJT) — The 20th anniversary season of the Boston Pizza-presented Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT), Canada’s ‘Road to College Golf’, will see a record number of 75 events conducted in 2018, starting out with the MJT Humber College PGM Classic presented by TaylorMade Golf in Vancouver and Coquitlam, British Columbia, March 17 to 19/.

The 54-hole national season opener has a full field competing in seven age divisions. Rounds one and two are played on the 89-year-old University Golf Club, a traditional course with long, narrow fairways and towering old growth trees, and the third and final round on March 19 is at the prestigious 106-year-old Vancouver Golf Club, host to the LPGA on a number of occasions.

Names to watch next weekend in Vancouver include 2017 MJT Player of the Year Justin Bjornson (Surrey, BC), and 2017 MJT National Division Champions, Lauren Kim (Surrey, BC) and Carter Graf (Sylvan Lake, Alberta).  Thanks to support from Title Sponsor, Humber College PGM Program, and Presenting Sponsor, TaylorMade Golf, participation and achievement in the tournament will be well rewarded, and there is also the opportunity to qualify for the 65th International Junior Masters in New York State, the provincial Junior Boys Championship in British Columbia, and for American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Performance Based Stars (the top three females).
