Maple Leaf Junior Tour Members To Benefit From Humber College PGM Program’s Bursaries

TORONTO, Ontario (MJT) — Canada’s number-one played Junior Golf Tour, the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT), is pleased to announce an expansion of their relationship with Humber College Professional Golf Management Program with the addition of a major bursary program.

This new program will encourage MJT graduates to stay in Canada for their post-secondary endeavours by offering up to $92,000 in bursaries to MJT members towards the Humber College Business Administration - Professional Golf Management Program. 

A total of 92 MJT members have the chance to qualify for a Humber College PGM Program bursary via a random draw. The players must be a MJT member in good standing, and enrol in the Humber College PGM Program within two years to receive a $1,000 bursary.

Highlights of the Humber College PGM Program include a Business diploma which meets the formal education requirement for the PGA of Canada, each year is split into six months of in-class academics and six months of paid internship (co-op), 100% job placement at top rated facilities, and an on-campus, world-class Golf Lab facility with the latest technology and equipment.  All this plus the most decorated golf varsity team in Canada which has won 10 of last 12 Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) team championships and 14 CCAA (Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association) team championships in the past 16 years (including both men and women).

The non-profit Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour presented by Boston Pizza is Canada’s number one-played Junior Golf Tour as well as the only national junior tour run exclusively by PGA of Canada Professionals and the ‘Road to College Golf’ in Canada.
