Golf Pride Roars to Victory and Wins Grip Count at the Year’s First Major

Golf Pride® a division of power management company Eaton and an industry leader in grip innovation, today announced that it was the leading swing and putter grip brand in play at 2019 Masters, with 68 players in the field trusting Golf Pride grips.

Nine players who finished in the Top 10, including the champion, chose Golf Pride at Augusta National.

The winner trusted Golf Pride’s Tour Velvet Cord grips while capturing his 5th career Masters title.

In addition, Golf Pride’s breakthrough ALIGN technology was played by six 2019 Masters competitors, demonstrating that Golf Pride’s newest innovation has quickly gained traction among the game’s elite.

This year, 5 out of the 6 amateurs who earned the right to compete in the 1st major of the year trusted their games to Golf Pride.

The winner of Low Am honors relied on Golf Pride’s MCC Plus4 technology throughout his performance.

“Golf Pride is honored to continue to be the grip of choice for the game’s biggest moments, regardless of where they are in their careers,” said Brandon Sowell, global director of sales and marketing for Golf Pride.

“It was exciting to see two of our latest game-changing advances, ALIGN, and Plus4 technologies, in play here at Augusta, while Tour Velvet Cord continued to be the championship grip of choice for arguably golf’s most discerning player.”

Each week, Golf Pride is the leading grip played from tee-to-green on the PGA TOUR with an average of 80% of pros choosing Golf Pride swing grips in each event, without any paid endorsements. With the victory in 2019, 9 out of the last 10 Masters champions have trusted their games to Golf Pride.
