MEN’S TOP 10
A minor shake up in several spots among the Top-10 this past week.
Brad Fritsch made the biggest gain among the Top-10, picking up 32 spots in the world rankings after finishing in a tie for 43rd at the PGA Travelers Championship. That snapped a streak of three missed cuts over both the PGA and Web.com Tour. The result was worth 1.43 world ranking points and moved the Ottawa golfer up to No. 7 in the Canadian rankings.
David Hearn gained 30 spots in the world rankings after finishing in a tie for eighth at the Travelers Championship. It’s his second top-10 result in the last three weeks and was worth 7.02 world ranking points. Hearn also moved up to take over the No. 4 ranking in Canada.
Mackenzie Hughes picked up eight places in the world rankings after finishing in a tie for 17th at the Travelers Championship. It was his second top-20 result in his last four tournaments. The result also helped him move past Graham DeLaet and into the No. 2 ranking in Canada.
Other notable results: No. 1 Adam Hadwin finished tied for 57th at PGA Travelers Championship; No. 3 Graham DeLaet finished tied 26th at PGA Travelers Championship; No. 5 Nick Taylor missed the cut at PGA Travelers Championship; No. 8 Austin Connelly finished tied for 22nd at European Challenge Tour Made in Denmark Challenge; No. 9 Corey Conners finished tied for 34th at the Web.com Tour Lincoln Land Charity Championship; No. 10 Adam Svensson finished tied for 23rd at Web.com Tour Lincoln Land Charity Championship.

WOMEN’S TOP 10
Elizabeth Tong makes her Top-10 debut, climbing 49 spots in the world ranking after finishing in a tie for 13th at the weather-shortened Symetra Tour event in Michigan. It’s her second top-15 result and third-best career result on the LPGA development tour for the former Team Canada player..
Taking the week off did not hurt top ranked Brooke Henderson. Coming off her fourth career LPGA win, the 19-year-old actually picked up a spot in the world rankings and sits at No. 12 overall.
Outside the Top-10, Jennifer Kirby climbed 145 spots after posting her best result of the year, tied for 18th, at the Symetra Tour event in Michigan. It helped the former Team Canada player move up to No. 16 in the Canadian rankings.
Other Notable Results: No. 2 Alena Sharp and No. 9 Jennifer Ha missed the cut at LPGA Walmart NW Arkansas Championship; No.4 Anne-Catherine Tanguay, No. 5 Augusta James and No. 7 Brittany Marchand all finished tied for 36th at Symetra Tour event in Michigan; No. 6 Samantha Richdale missed the cut at Symetra Tour event in Michigan;

MEN’S AMATEUR TOP 10
Joey Savoie made the biggest gain among the Top-10, jumping 33 places after making it all the way to the match play portion of The Amateur Championship in England. After finishing tied for 23rd in the stroke play portion of the event, Savoie dropped a close 2&1 decision to Italy’s Stefano Mazzoli in the Round of 32.
Josh Whalen gained 18 spots in the world rankings after finishing in a tie for 13th at the Northeast Amateur Championship. The No. 3 ranked golfer in Canada has picked up a total of 47 places in the world rankings in last two weeks.
No. 2 ranked Hugo Bernard gained five places in the world ranking after finishing in a tie for 21st at the Northeast Amateur.
Honourable mention goes to Myles Creighton, who makes his debut at No. 20 in the Canadian rankings after climbing 151 spots in the world rankings following his win at the Rice Planters Amateur Championship.
Brendan Macdougall, fresh off his fourth place finish at the Glencoe Invitational, captured the Alberta Match Play Championship, good for a 48 place gain in the World Amateur Rankings.
Biggest move: Thomas Critch gained 182 spots in the world rankings after finishing in a tie for 29th at the Insperity Invitational / Patrick Reed AJGA Junior Championship.

WOMEN’S AMATEUR TOP 10
Positive gains for all but three of the Top-10 with Team Canada Development Squad member Monet Chun and Jessica Ip leading the way, picking up eight places in the world rankings.
No 1 ranked Canadian Maddie Szeryk picked up two places to move back inside the top 30 in the world rankings, up to No. 29.
Honourable mention goes to Ellie Szeryk – the younger sister of Team Canada Amateur Squad member Maddie Szeryk – after she qualified for the 2017 U.S. Girls Junior Championship, taking medallist honours at the Texas qualifier.
Biggest Move: Katy Rutherford of Calgary gained 69 spots in the world rankings after finishing tied for 23rd at the Texas Women’s Stroke Play Championship.
