Ping Apparel Unveils Autumn-Winter Collection

Ping Autumn-Winter Collection

PHOENIX, Arizona — Growing its commitment to progressive designs that are Engineered to Play while utilizing advanced technologies and appealing color stories, PING Apparel introduced its Autumn-Winter 2017 collection for men and women. The clothing and accessories are available in select golf shops now.

This season, PING Apparel welcomes a new outerwear technology partner, PrimaLoft®, utilized in the Norse jacket, a lightweight thermal jacket. PrimaLoft Silver Insulation Active provides breathable insulation and warmth without bulk using permanent water-repellent ultra-fine fibers.

The company's partnership with Pertex Shield continues to play an important role in its waterproof category. The newly designed Zero Gravity Tour collection has been extended to offer a full-zip jacket, playing top and full-zip vest. All three full-stretch waterproof tops can be paired with the new Zero Gravity Tour Pant, an ultra-lightweight, fully seam-sealed over-trouser, designed to be worn over a pant. All Zero Gravity Tour products are backed by a full 3-year waterproof guarantee.

"Performance is at the heart of every PING Apparel product, insisting that every design detail and fabric combination serves to make a garment move more naturally with the golfer, breathe better, or protect more efficiently from the elements," said Andy Solheim, PING Executive Vice President.

Solheim said PING Apparel's Sensor Technology platform remains integral to the new collection, ensuring clothing that works with the body and the demands of the game. The platform consists of SensorCool, SensorWarm, and SensorDry technologies. "Our mindset with apparel and golf clubs is the same - to continually push innovation that has meaningful benefits for golfers and raises the standard for quality across our industry. This collection does just that."

Men's

Consistent with previous collections, the AW17 men's line is categorized into three color stories: Heritage Midnight, Heritage Redwood and Seaport Haze. Each "Heritage" color story, which carries over each season, is refreshed with autumn colors to create tonal designs in several styles.

The Seaport Haze color story uses two shades of teal and a citrus color with more neutral tones that will merchandise well in warmer climates.

New polo styles — the Crosby, Ellis and Newman — embody the company's design language of "clean," "considered," "timeless," "tailored," and "authentically cool."

The Newman polo is constructed of double-face fabric, features concealed placket detailing, and highlights two fashion colors — crimson and redwood.

The Crosby long-sleeve polo has a refined fabric performance blend of polyester, tencel and elastane, a concealed button-down collar, and fashion styling (striped fabric to the front and back with solid-color sleeves). This fabric combination features exceptional hand and is used across three new styles - the Crosby, Ellis and Karsten II.

Ladies

Also new for AW17 is PING Apparel's first ladies pant. Designed specifically for golf, the Adele is a pull-on stretch pant that offers a comfortable tailored fit and includes scooped front pockets, a concealed tee pocket and glove pocket. SensorCool fabric provides moisture movement for extra comfort in warm weather.

The Oslo Jacket and Vest utilize PrimaLoft Silver Insulation Active to provide breathable insulation and warmth without bulk. Gunmetal PING lock-down zippers with exposed teeth detail add femininity.

Ladies color stories are Skylark, incorporating sunset gold and dark citadel grey, and Carmine Meadow with cherry red providing a pop of color alongside teal and asphalt. Within the ladies collection, the company introduces a monochrome brush-stroke print in two signature polo styles and the Mona skort. The Tara polo is a 3/4-length sleeve, funnel-neck top with a monochrome brush-stroke design to the front and back. The same print is utilized in paneling details in the Willow, a self-fabric collar polo.
