LONDON, Ontario (CJGA) — This year marks the 20th annual CJGA Mizuno National Junior Golf Championship. The tournament will start on August 22nd and run until August 25th, with a player welcome reception and practice round taking place on August 21st. The second major championship of the year on the CJGA schedule will be played at the stunning Greenhills Golf Club in London, ON.

The CJGA Mizuno National Junior Golf Championship is one of the most prestigious junior golf tournaments run in Canada. The tournament will see players from across Canada, along with players from the United States, compete in the four round stroke play tournament. The event will have a cut after the second round of play, which will leave approximately 50% of the field to duel it out for the division titles.

“The Mizuno National Championship is a focal point on the CJGA national schedule, and we are excited to host the 20th running of the event,” said National Championship Tournament Director, Brad Mellon. “It will be a great field, as all the champions from this past season will compete for their respective divisional titles. Greenhills Golf Club will be a great test for the high level of play in the field this week.”

Greenhills Golf Club was designed by London, Ontario native Rene Muylaert in 1975. The course is a great balance of challenging greens with wide fairways as the course winds beside the Dingham Creek. The course is in a quiet and peaceful location in London which brings out the best wildlife in the area. The picturesque golf course has mature trees along the fairways. For players to be successful this week, their second shots into the greens will need to be the strongest part of their game.

The CJGA Mizuno Junior National Championship will be officially ranked by the World Amateur Golf Rankings, BC Golf, Golf Ontario, Golf Canada, Golfweek and Junior Golf Scoreboard.
