Clark, Morrison, Bulau, And Rooke Crowned Champions At Bethesda Grange

STOUFFVILLE, Ontario — The Canadian Junior Golf Association hosted the second last tournament of the year this past weekend at Bethesda Grange Golf Course in Stouffville, ON. It was an extremely hot weekend of golf with temperatures over thirty degrees. Juniors kept hydrated throughout their rounds to remain focused on the course. Players were able to battle through the heat to post great scores at Bethesda Grange.
Junior Boys U19
Cody Clark of Little Britain, ON, was able to come out of the CJGA Ontario Fall Series as the champion of the Junior Boys division. Clark entered the final round with a two shot lead and was able to extend his lead by playing extremely well on Sunday to win by eight strokes. Clark’s official tournament rounds are 74-69-143, in which his final round 69 was the low round of the tournament and he was the only player to break 70 in the field.
Joshua Hayes from Sudbury, ON, was able to finish runner up in the Junior Boys division at Bethesda Grange. Hayes shot rounds of 76-75-151 to finish eight shots off of Clark’s pace.
Junior Girls U19
Mackenzie Morrison from Toronto, ON, was able to lock up another CJGA tournament win this year in the Junior Girls division. Morrison entered the final round with a five shot lead and was able to win by seven after a steady round on Sunday. Morrison was able to clinch the division title by posting weekend rounds of 85-86-171.
Runner up in the Junior Girls division was Angi Lu of Richmond Hill, ON. Lu had tournament rounds of 90-88-178.
Bantam Boys U15
King City’s own Kiefer Bulau was able to hoist the Bantam Boys division title at Bethesda Grange this past weekend. Bulau entered the final round as the co-leader after he had an opening round 79. He was able to win by one stroke by shooting a 78 in the final round. Bulau’s official tournament scores were 79-78-157.
Connor Munro from Etobicoke, ON, finished in second place. Munro shot consistent rounds of 79-79-158 to finish one shot back of Bulau and one shot in front of Noah Campbell who finished in third.
Bantam Girls U15
Rozlyn Rooke of Milton, ON, captured the Bantam Girls division title at the CJGA Ontario Fall Series at Bethesda Grange. Rooke posted weekend rounds of 87-84-171 to comfortably win the division trophy. Rooke entered the final round with a four shot lead and was able to extend it with a tournament low round of 84 on Sunday.
Katherine Cranston from Oakville, ON, was able to finish second place in the Bantam Girls division. Cranston posted tournament rounds of 91-92-183.
