Visit St. Petersburg/Clearwater Supports CJGA World Junior Challenge

RICHMOND HILL, Ontario (CJGA) — The Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) is pleased to announce Visit St. Petersburg/Clearwater has joined forces with the CJGA in support of the CJGA World Junior Challenge in 2017.  The annual CJGA event takes place Innisbrook Golf Resort & Spa in Palm Harbor, Florida December 27-30 each year.

“We are extremely pleased to partner with Visit St. Petersburg/Clearwater for our CJGA World Junior Challenge” said Earl Fritz, CJGA Executive Director.  “Our event brings an International field of competitors and families to the area and through this partnership we will be able to extend additional offerings to our members coming to the area.”

“We are honored to host the 2017 CJGA World Jr. Championships in partnership with Innisbrook Resort, where CJGA alum, Adam Hadwin, earned his first PGA TOUR victory at the Valspar Championship on Innisbrook’s Copperhead course in 2017,” said Tim Ramsberger, COO of Visit St. Pete/Clearwater. “A partnership with the CJGA amplifies our commitment to growing the destination’s international golf play.”

Innisbrook Golf Resort & Spa, home of the PGA TOUR’s Valspar Championship, will host the CJGA World Junior Challenge thru 2021 after the two parties signed a 5-year extension after the 2016 event.
