WICHITA, Kansas — In 1990, with an eye on developing the PGA TOUR’s next generation of stars and providing playing opportunities for up-and-coming players, the Ben Hogan Tour was born. Thirty tournaments spread throughout the vastness of Americana in towns only a mother could love. Bakersfield, Panama City Beach, Macon, Fort Wayne and El Paso were just a few locales on that maiden schedule which allowed for players to have an option to compete outside of rolling the dice at the TOUR’s annual Q-School.
