With the recent celebration of International Volunteer Day (IVD) across the globe, British Columbia Golf would like to take this opportunity to both acknowledge and sincerely thank the many women, men and young people who regularly give of their time and expertise to help make the championship events held in our province run smoothly and efficiently and indeed, allowing them to take place at all.
Without the countless hours contributed by these volunteers the challenge of putting on and running high level competitions would be next to impossible. International Volunteer Day (IVD) is a global celebration of volunteers. It takes place every year on December 5th to shine a light on the impact of volunteer efforts everywhere. Volunteers are leading social change around the world. This special day promotes the work of volunteers at all levels, including local, national and international.
