SPRINGFIELD, Illinois (AP) — Teachers will be able to see a free round of golf in Springfield this month.

The Lincoln Land Charity Championship has named June 22 "Horace Mann Educator's Day" at the PGA tournament.

Any educator with proper identification will be admitted free that day.

Kate Peters is executive director of the Lincoln Land Charity Championship. She says all 156 golfers will be at Panther Creek Country Club that day for the first official round. She says it will be "an exciting day for our educators."

Marita Zuraitis is Horace Mann president and CEO. She says educators provide a "supportive, enriching and constructive environment" to help students every day. She says the company is proud to say "thank you" to them by sponsoring the championship tournament.
