Education Series Concludes with Great Kootenay Stop

By THE PGA OF BC

FAIRMONT HOT SPRINGS, British Columbia — The final stop on the 2019 PGA of BC Education Series presented by Foresight Sports Canada, held at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort, was yet another great event with valuable takeaways for all Golf Professionals in attendance.

Approximately two-dozen area members were on hand for the gathering, which featured revealing presentations from two local Head Professionals.

Getting the program underway was 2018 Dick Munn Golf Professional of the Year Cindy Soukoroff (St. Eugene Golf Resort & Casino), who shared her insights on "Making Every Moment Matter" for golf-facility patrons.

Also presenting on Monday was Scott McClain (Copper Point Golf Resort), who highlighted the importance of golf facilities giving back with their communities, delving into examples at his own club and elsewhere.

Monday's event coincided with the first tournament of the year on the Kootenay Pro Tour, which kicked off in the afternoon on the resort's Riverside Course.

Administration staff captured video recordings of Monday's presentations and they will be made available on the PGA of BC Education Series Archive to rent for a nominal fee when completed.

The Association would like to thank host Executive Professional Peter Smith, Head Professional Jeremy Johnson and the entire staff at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort for their hospitality in welcoming this event to the resort once again. The PGA of BC also expresses its appreciation for Education Series presenting sponsor Foresight Sports Canada and its commitment to furthering the professional development of PGA of BC members.
