Following a review of the number of elite amateur events conducted and planned globally in the coming weeks, it has been decided to restart the ageing process within the system. This will take effect on 8 July 2020 (Week 27) and the team will continue to monitor the volume of elite amateur events over the coming months.
In order to remain ranked the period over which a player needs to attain four points from a counting event will be extended until the end of 2021. This will ensure players can remain ranked even when they are unable to compete in elite amateur events this year.
The dates for the determination of the 2020 Mark H. McCormack Medals have been fixed as:
- Week 36 update to be published on 9 September for the men.
- Week 40 update to be published on 7 October for the women.
