As you may be aware Golf Canada and Golf Ontario are hosting the World Junior Girls Championship at The Marshes Golf Club this September. The PGA of Canada is very excited about supporting this special event.
As part of the championship's overall intent of supporting girls and women in golf, the PGA of Canada is hosting a coaches summit for PGA of Canada members. This will be an opportunity to observe and learn from the best international coaches in an in-the-field approach.
The details of the Coaching Summit are as follows:
The Marshes Golf Club
Sunday, September 24, 2017
7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (approximately)
PGA of Canada coaches will be given an opportunity to participate in self-directed learning. This opportunity will involve using templates to observe an international head coach actively coaching during the championship practice round.
Following the on-course portion, as a group, the PGA of Canada coaches will meet in a facilitated session with a Team Canada coach. This one-hour session will give the coaches an opportunity to review the day's activities, ask questions about what they observed, and discuss coaching high performing athletes.
This is an opportunity that does not present itself often and only a select number of PGA of Canada members will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
