The Classic Stan Smith Colorway Gets Its On-Course Debut

We brought the iconic — and now more sustainable — Stan Smith silhouette to golf for the first time in the history of the brand earlier this month. Now we’re honoring that first design that was introduced to the world more than 50 years ago and has transcended fashion for generations. We’re making our Stan Smith Golf available in the unmistakable white and green colorway so that golfers everywhere can bring the classic and versatile look to the course.

Building upon the new PRIMEGREEN upper made with high-performance recycled materials1 as part of our mission to END PLASTIC WASTE, this version is also waterproof (one-year warranty) to help keep golfers dry both on and off the course. We made sure to provide comfort where golfers need it most by placing PU cushioning in targeted areas in the midsole to go alongside a PU die-cut sockliner. Whether it’s swinging a club or walking the fairways, golfers will appreciate the adiwear spikeless outsole that features lugs inspired by the shoe’s original sole design, offering some added traction for all course conditions to go along with their style. The Stan Smith Golf is just another offering from our brand to show how we are redefining versatile golf performance when it comes to footwear.

“When we were talking about bringing this shoe into golf, the original white and green colorway was a must-have as part of our planning,” said Masun Denison, global footwear director, adidas Golf. “The Stan Smith silhouette is known throughout the world for being so versatile from a fashion standpoint, so we’re excited to give golfers that same style and versatility for when they head out to the course, now in a more sustainable way.”

As an ode to the traditions of the past, we also included a removable white kiltie to give players another way to wear their shoes and give off some added flair for their round.

This classic white and green colorway of the Stan Smith Golf will be available on adidas.com, through the adidas app, and at select retail partners worldwide beginning Saturday, May 1.
