MJT National Schedule Update As Of May 10, 2021

The Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT), Canada’s number-one played Junior Golf Tour, would like to provide an update on the MJT national tournament schedule by region as of May 10, 2021.

British Columbia

The MJT BC has rescheduled three events on the junior tour and two events on the mini tour to later dates due to COVID-19 travel and competition restrictions:

The MJT Mini Tour at Musqueam Golf Course in Vancouver, BC, originally scheduled to take place May 30, will now take place June 13.

The MJT Ford Series at Chilliwack Golf Club in Chilliwack, BC, originally scheduled to take place April 25 & 26, will now take place July 6 & 7.

The MJT BC Series at Ledgeview Golf & Country Club, in Abbotsford, BC, originally scheduled to take place May 29 & 30, will now take place July 12 & 13.

The MJT Mini Tour at Cheam Golf Center in Chilliwack, BC, originally scheduled to take place May 10, will now take place July 15.

The MJT G&G Prodigy Series at Pagoda Ridge Golf Club, in Langley, BC, originally scheduled to take place May 15 & 16, will now take place August 26 & 27.

Alberta

Due to COVID-19 restrictions effective April 29, the MJT Humber College PGM Classic presented by TaylorMade at Fairmont Banff Springs GC in Banff, AB, originally scheduled to take place May 23 & 24, will now take place July 21 & 22.

The MJT Season Opener presented by SAIT Trojans Athletics at Paradise Canyon Golf Resort, the MJT Edge School Showcase at River Bend Golf Course, and the MJT Mini Tour at River Bend Golf Course are events on the MJT Alberta schedule that have been postponed. New dates for each event will be announced once arrangements have been finalized. The MJT continues to work diligently to provide updates to the schedule. Please be advised that further changes to the MJT Alberta schedule may take place depending on COVID-19 restrictions.

Saskatchewan

Due to COVID-19 restrictions in Saskatchewan, the MJT Re/Max Blue Chip Realty Classic at Estevan Woodlawn Golf Club in Estevan, SK, scheduled to be held May 15 & 16, has been postponed. New dates for this event will be announced once arrangements have been finalized.

Manitoba

Due to recent COVID-19 restrictions, the MJT Manitoba Series at Pine Ridge Golf Club in Winnipeg, MB, scheduled to be held May 15 & 16, and the MJT Mini Tour at The Players Course scheduled to take place June 6 also in Winnipeg, have been postponed. New dates for these events will be announced once arrangements have been finalized. 

Ontario

Due to COVID-19 lockdown restrictions in the province of Ontario, the MJT Junior Tour has rescheduled three events and the MJT Mini Tour has rescheduled one event at this current time.

The MJT Mini Tour at Markham Executive Golf Course in Markham, ON, originally re-scheduled to take place May 29, will be postponed to a later date. Registration for this event remains open.

The MJT Ontario Series at Trillium Wood Golf Club in Corbyville, ON, originally scheduled to take place May 8 & 9, will now take place July 16 & 17. Registration for this event remains open.

The MJT Ontario Series at Flamborough Hills Golf Club in Copetown, ON, originally scheduled to take place May 15 & 16, will now take place September 4 & 5.

The MJT Spring Classic presented by Freedom 55 Financial at Galt Country Club in Cambridge, ON, originally scheduled to take place April 25 & 26 was postponed. The new event, the MJT Fall Classic presented by Freedom 55 Financial at Galt Country Club will now take place October 3 & 4.

Atlantic Canada

Due to COVID-19 travel restrictions within Atlantic Canada, the MJT has postponed two events on the Junior Tour and one event on the Mini Tour.

The MJT Atlantic Canada Season Opener presented by Bell Aliant at KenWo Country Club, originally scheduled to take place May 15 & 16 has been postponed and changed to a new venue. The new event, the MJT Atlantic Canada Season Opener presented by Bell Aliant at Chester Golf Club in Chester, NS, will now take place June 28 & 29. Registration for this event remains open.

The MJT Mini Tour at Avon Valley Golf & Country Club in Falmouth, NS, originally scheduled to take place May 29, will now take place July 19. Registration for this event remains open to those players 12 years and younger.

The MJT Bell Aliant Series at Avon Valley Golf & Country Club in Falmouth, NS, originally scheduled to take place May 29 & 30, will now take place July 19 & 20. Registration for this event remains open.

The MJT continues to work with regional health authorities across the country and prioritizes the health and safety of all its players, staff, and personnel.
