The PGA of BC is pleased to officially introduce Arbor Memorial Inc. as a Preferred Partner of the Association.
In addition to supporting PGA of BC Professionals and Association initiatives as a Silver-level Preferred Partner, Arbor Memorial will serve as a co-presenting sponsor of the PGA of BC Assistants’ & Seniors’ Championships through 2022.
For nearly 75 years, Arbor Memorial has provided service and support to Canadian families with respect, compassion and empathy in the commemoration of loved ones. Its 10 British Columbia locations in the Lower Mainland and on Vancouver Island provide professional and ethical guidance in remembering, honouring and celebrating the lives of family members and friends who have passed. In addition to offering funeral, cremation and other services at each location, Arbor Memorial also provides internment options at Surrey’s Valley View Funeral Home & Cemetery, Victoria’s Hatley Memorial Gardens and the Nanaimo area’s Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens.
“Arbor Memorial is proud to enter into a partnership with the PGA of BC and its member Professionals,” said Trevor Tidridge, Branch Manager at Valley View Funeral Home & Cemetery. “Our organizations embody common values that include integrity, teamwork and excellence, and are trusted as experts and leaders in our respective fields. We look forward to a successful relationship.”
As a component of this partnership, Arbor Memorial is offering all PGA of BC Professionals access to the Arbor Alliance program, which offers preferred pricing on memorial services and resources offered by Arbor Memorial locations in British Columbia. By producing their PGA of Canada membership card, Golf Professionals will receive five per cent off the cost of arrangements at the time of need, or 10 per cent off the costs of pre-planned arrangements. The offer applies at all Arbor Memorial locations throughout BC.
As well, PGA of BC Professionals are invited to extend the benefits of the Arbor Alliance program to members and patrons of their respective facilities. “We are grateful for Arbor Memorial’s support of our Association, including the generous offer for our members to access Arbor Alliance benefits in times of need or when planning for difficult circumstances,” said PGA of BC Executive Director Donald Miyazaki.
“Premier events like our Assistants’ & Seniors’ Championships cannot proceed without the sponsorship of great partners like Arbor Memorial. We thank them for their commitment to Golf Professionals and BC’s golf community as a whole.”
The PGA of BC Assistants’ & Seniors’ Championships return to the championship schedule this summer after the 2020 events were suspended due to COVID-19. The 36-hole, individual stroke-play tournaments are set to be contested July 19-20 at Kamloops Golf & Country Club. Defending Assistants’ Champion Andrew Rasmussen (Delta Golf Centre), who claimed the title at Seymour Golf & Country Club in 2019, is among those registered to compete. A new Seniors’ Champion will be crowned in 2021, with 2019 winner Philip Jonas having relocated to the Saskatchewan Zone.
