ATLANTIC BEACH, Florida — The Web.com Tour Championship, Engine 15 Brewing Co., and TacoLu announced a joint promotion in support of first responders following the recent effects of Hurricane Irma, which impacted all of Northeast Florida.
The Web.com Tour Championship, set to be contested at Atlantic Beach Country Club the week of September 25-October 1, 2017, will offer free admission and complimentary clubhouse access upgrades to all first responders, as well as their spouse or significant other and any dependents.
“We are excited to partner with Engine 15 and TacoLu to help support the first responders,” said Tournament Manager Adam Renfroe. “These brave men and women put their lives on the line during Hurricane Irma to help those in need, so our goal is to offer them a brief respite from the stress of their respective jobs at the Web.com Tour Championship. If they can come out with their families, enjoy a complimentary beverage and watch the next wave of PGA TOUR stars, then that’s a big win for us.”
Engine 15, one of the featured craft breweries at the Web.com Tour Championship, will offer free beverages to all first responders during the event in both the Fan Zone and clubhouse locations.
The Jacksonville Beach brewery will provide two of its most well-known beers during the week – J’ville Lager and Old Battle Axe IPA.
“All of us at Engine 15 Brewing Co. are honored to join with the Web.com Tour Championship and TacoLu to offer a sincere thank you to our first responders,” said Co-Owner & Brewmaster Luciano Scremin. “We are happy to be able to provide free of charge our J’ville Lager and Old Battle Axe IPA for their enjoyment while taking advantage of their upgraded clubhouse tickets.”
Beginning Tuesday, September 19 and running through the conclusion of the Web.com Tour Championship, Jacksonville Beach’s TacoLu will offer a new signature margarita named after the hurricane, the IrmaRita. The popular Beach Blvd. restaurant, located just steps away from Engine 15, will donate $1 from the sale of each IrmaRita to support local first responders.
TacoLu will have its food truck onsite at Atlantic Beach Country Club as part of the tournament’s Fan Zone, located between Nos. 9 and 18 greens.
“TacoLu is proud to be involved with Web.com Tour Championship for the fourth year. After last year’s disappointing cancellation due to Hurricane Matthew, we are back, with great tacos, margaritas and ready for some great golf,” said TacoLu owner Don Nicol. “It is truly our pleasure to partner with the Web.com Tour Championship and Engine 15 Brewing Co. to raise money for local first responders.”
First responders, inclusive of police officers, deputy sheriffs, firefighters and paramedics, can take advantage of this promotion with a valid work ID or badge at the entry gate located onsite at Atlantic Beach Country Club.
The Web.com Tour Championship will feature the top 75 money winners from the 2017 Web.com Tour Regular Season, as well as PGA TOUR players who finished the 2016-17 season ranked 126-200 in the FedExCup.
Proceeds from the Web.com Tour Championship will benefit Wolfson Children’s Hospital. For more information on the tournament, or to purchase tickets, please visit WebTourChampionship.com.
