Rundell, Snethun Join Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour’s National Core Team

LETHBRIDGE, Alberta — The Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT), Canada’s number-one played Junior Golf Tour with close to 90 events across the country scheduled for 2022, is pleased to announce the appointments of Rachelle Rundell and Leah Snethun to the MJT core team executing the national program.

Rundell, a Class “A” LPGA and CPGA Professional with over 15 years of experience in the golf industry, has already been a part of the MJT for two years, assisting with on-site tournament operations in Alberta. She has now expanded her MJT role, taking on the key position of Member Services Manager. Rundell brings a huge amount of relevant experience to the program with her background playing college golf at The California University of Pennsylvania, from which she graduated with a Master’s Degree in Sports Management.  As a Golf Professional, Rundell shifted her focus over the last few years towards junior golf development and is excited to continue that passion with the MJT at a greater capacity.

Snethun, who has a wealth of experience in the golf industry in Alberta for over a decade, joins the MJT marketing team as the new Marketing Controller. Snethun’s golf marketing career started in 2009 around the greater Calgary area. In 2012, she founded the amateur adult-focused Alberta Golf Tour and followed that up in 2018 by founding the Alberta-based golf media platform called GolfLifeAB. An avid golfer herself, Snethun loves the competitive golf community and enjoys working with local golf courses, businesses, and golf industry personnel. “I am thrilled to bring my skills and experience to continue growing and featuring the importance of the MJT community across the country,” commented Snethun.

“We are delighted to have Rachelle and Leah join the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour’s national core team,” said Elaine Denton, Director of Marketing and Administration. “The successful growth in participation and number of events that we’ve experienced will be greatly assisted by their knowledge of the golf world and help to deliver the best program to young players across the country.”
