VANCOUVER, British Columbia — The Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT), Canada’s number-one played Junior Golf Tour with close to 90 events across the country scheduled for 2022, is pleased to announce a national partnership with Playing Under Par (PUP).
Founded by MJT alumni Jordan Bakhsh and Tyson Turchanski, Playing Under Par is a golf practice and fitness training platform that offers strategically designed, evidence-based, structured golf programming. Trusted by elite college, amateur, and professional players, Playing Under Par (PUP) is now launching golf and fitness programs in 2022 with exclusive programming options for MJT competitors.
Built on the philosophy of “changing how you Play, by changing how you Practice”, PUP defines how one practices and trains in the game of golf, focusing on continually improving your game with prescribed drills, warm-ups, progressions, and practice “tests.” There are two PUP Program options - Monthly Memberships (Golf or Fitness) and Individual Programs. With the 2022 season quickly approaching, either program option is a great way to begin preparing for the competitive golf season.
The partnership with MJT will include a Canada-wide four-event Playing Under Par tournament series, beginning in British Columbia at the commencement of the 2022 season. In addition, MJT members will benefit from a special offer of a free month to either the PUP Monthly Golf or Fitness Membership and a limited number of exclusive Individual Programs at a discounted rate.
PUP’s Individual Programs are completely customized programs ideal for MJT players. They are focused on developing your game, peaking you for tournaments, and working towards competing at the collegiate and professional levels. For MJT members working with a swing instructor, programs can be designed in collaboration with their instructor to help improve technical and scoring skills.
The non-profit Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour, now entering its 24th season, currently has an Early Bird Membership Offer available until January 31, 2022, where junior golfers receive a discounted membership while gaining access to great member benefits from Playing Under Par and other MJT partners. More information and registration details are available online at maplejt.com.
About Playing Under Par
Playing Under Par (PUP) offers strategically designed, evidence-based, structured golf programming. Built on the philosophy of “changing how you Play, by changing how you Practice” we redefine how one practices and trains in the game of golf. PUP focuses on continually improving your golf game by intersecting your skill level with equally challenging prescribed drills, warm-ups, progressions, and practice “tests.” Over the past 6 years, PUP has programmed for junior competitive golfers, elite amateur and college players, and even players competing on the Canadian Tour, Korn Ferry Tour, PGA Tour, and in Major Championships. PUP Programs are designed to help you improve your competitive scores, peak for tournaments, and build towards your future goals, like competing at the collegiate and professional levels. All PUP programs are delivered on our mobile platform with video demonstration of every drill and progression, notes and goals detailed to your skill level, and the ability to track your training stats.
