MJT’s 2022 Mini Tour Season Off To A Great Start With Order Of Merit Spring Invitational At Richmond Country Club

Tournament Highlights:
- The Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT), Canada’s number one-played junior tour, launched its Mini Tour season for players aged 12 and under with an action-packed day at the MJT Order of Merit (OOM) Spring Invitational at Richmond Country Club, Richmond, British Columbia, March 16.
- Rainy weather had temporarily closed the course previous to the tournament, but the rain stopped on the day, allowing the young golfers great playing conditions and blue skies.
- Jayden H X Zhu, won the MJT Boys 9-10 title in a 4-hole playoff after tying for the lead with a great score of 71 with Jackson Wang. Both players are aged 10 and are from Surrey, BC.
- Grace Guan, 11, of Vancouver, BC, shot an incredible 74 and claimed the MJT Girls 11-12 and Girls Low Overall title.
- At the tournament, the following qualified for the FCG Callaway Junior Worlds Championship in July 2022 – Ziping Chen, Jayden H X Zhu, Jody Li and Jenny Guo
The top two finishers in each division qualified for the MJT Mini Tour Order of Merit Invitational at Quilchena on May 29, 2022.

The non-profit Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour is Canada’s number one-played Junior Golf Tour as well as the only national junior tour run exclusively by PGA of Canada Professionals and the ‘Road to College Golf’ in Canada. The organization is supported by valued Premier, Tournament and Product Partners.
