LOS ANGELES, California — LOHLA SPORT has signed highly touted LPGA Tour player Maude LeBlanc to exclusively wear the brand’s premium ladies’ golf-lifestyle apparel in golf tournaments and off-course activities.
LeBlanc’s most recent Top 10 tournament finish was at the JTBC Classic where, at 6’,2”, she wowed galleries with towering drives. She is LOHLA SPORT’s first LPGA Tour brand ambassador since forming a partnership with golf legend Annika Sorenstam in January 2022.
Initially, LeBlanc is wearing coordinated tops, bottoms, skorts and outerwear from LOHLA SPORT’s “The Streets of Los Angeles” collection, notably these capsules:
- Rodeo Drive – Generates the feeling you get shopping on the infamous street – elegant and chic. Colors are black, white and Tiffany blue. The print design is inspired by that of an Hermes scarf.
- Ocean Avenue – Light and breezy, predominant colors are peony pink, Pacific blue and breezy white with a touch of silver. The Radiant Vest is a highlight piece while small checked skorts in peony and pacific create a clean and classic feel.
As the 2022 LPGA Tour season progresses, LeBlanc will add styles from “Hollywood Boulevard,” “Sunset Drive” and “Melrose Place” capsules to her wardrobe.
She will also showcase core styles:
- The Golf Fitness Pull-On Pant – Worn stand-alone (akin to a workout tight) or under skorts in the fall for added warmth and décor, it is purposely thicker, becoming the perfect golf-yoga pant. Its back pockets make it country club appropriate.
- The “Very Pant” – The four-pocket, full, four-way stretch pant is offered in several colors. It was inspired by the J. Peterman character in the TV hit “Seinfeld,” indicating specificity of the surreal or sublime. The famous line “The Very Pant I’ve been searching for all my life” is part of sitcom lore.
"The fabrics are smooth to the skin and neither feel heavy nor warm,” says LeBlanc who, along with LPGA TOUR followers, predicts a breakout year for her. “I love the overall look of the LOHLA SPORT style and even as a woman over six-feet tall, it fits me very well. I also enjoy the comfort and ease of movement it provides during and after rounds of golf.”
Born and raised outside Montreal, LeBlanc’s inherent favor for European designs – along with LOHLA SPORT’s Los Angeles flair appropriate for the American lifestyle – also impressed her. After taking up golf at the age of five and becoming a junior golf phenom in Canada, LeBlanc, now 33, starred at Purdue University.
"Universal feedback about LOHLA SPORT is that its ‘buttery soft’,” says Lisa O’Hurley, Founder and CEO of LOHLA SPORT. “Golfers also tell us that our tops are proportionately long, so they don’t untuck during swings – that’s important.”
LeBlanc and O’Hurley were introduced by mutual friend Peter Jacobsen, winner of 18 professional tournaments worldwide, including seven on the PGA TOUR.
LOHLA SPORT’s “Made for Play” mantra isn’t relegated to golf as its sporty looks confidently transition from the course to the office to socializing with friends and family. Colorful, on-trend and feminine designs are cut to be flattering yet not overtly sexy. The brand’s comfortable chic aesthetic is creating a “golfleisure” movement akin to LuLulemon and the “athleisure” craze.
