Enhanced Rail Services To Carnoustie Confirmed

ScotRail are offering an enhanced rail service to The 147th Open at Carnoustie this July.

Hourly services from Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow will provide a quicker and more convenient way to travel to and from The Open. 

An increased number of services will stop at Carnoustie station in both directions from around 7am on the Championship days of Thursday 19 July to Saturday 21 July, and from around 8am Sunday 22nd July.  Services will also be enhanced to ensure there is additional capacity on the line running from Carnoustie station after close of play on the Championship days.

From Carnoustie station, it is a short walk straight to the course along the coastal road. Tickets can be purchased now for rail travel however seat reservations are not currently available.  Tickets that are purchased for travel on services to Carnoustie will become available for seat reservations from six weeks until the Championship’s commencement.
