JASPER PARK, Alberta — Following up on its celebration of Stanley Thompson’s 125th birthday, Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge Golf Club is finishing the 2018 golf season strong with the inaugural Jasper Fall Classic, a two-day amateur golf tournament, Sept 21 & 22, played on Fairmont’s acclaimed Stanley Thompson Golf Course, the No. 2 ranked golf course in Canada according to SCOREGolf, Canada’s largest golf publication.
“This is a great opportunity for amateur players from across North America and around the world to compete on a historic golf course and experience the fall beauty of Canada’s Jasper National Park,” said Gregg Lown, Director of Golf at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. “In addition to a truly world-class golf experience, we have an outstanding itinerary and great gifts and prizes. We’re looking forward to putting on a spectacular event.
The 36-hole tournament will be stroke play and flighted based upon handicap with winners in both gross and net scoring categories. Ladies will compete in their own division. Additionally, all participants receive a breakfast each morning and welcome gift. Participants also will be treated to a spectacular private lakeside barbecue dinner and awards reception at Trefoil. Cost for the tournament alone is $389 per person CAD. However, a special Stay & Play package from Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is available which includes the tournament entry and accommodations for two nights. The Stay & Play package costs $649 per person CAD.
