Conners who Monday qualified to get in the tournament is blasting up the leaderboard...
Corey Conners has had a pretty good year on tour considering his conditional status on the PGA Tour.
This means constant Monday Qualifying.
The 27-year-old Canadian took care of the first half of the equation by surviving a 6-for-1 playoff for the final of four spots available at Monday Qualifying.
It marked the third time in six attempts this season that Conners has made it through the crucible that is Monday Qualifying.
Conners now finds himself tied for the lead at 14-under more than halfway done his third round.
He has been firing one of his best rounds on tour to date sitting at 6-under.
The Canadian made 5 birdies on the front nine.
Conners is looking to make history as only the second Monday qualifier to win with the first being Arjun Atwal.
He is ranked 66th in the FedEx Cup ranking but looks to improve on that number this weekend.
With two top 5 finishes this year Conners is on the rise to be one of the best Canadians on tour.
In more Canadian news at the Texas Open is Nick Taylor who had some magic today at the 13th hole par 3.
Staring down his shot, the ball landed about 25 feet short of the hole and rolled all the way in for an Ace.
This is the second hole-in-one of the week with Si Woo Kim making one in the second round on Friday.
Sunday is a big day for players looking to win to head to Augusta National next week for the 2019 Masters.
