By THE R&A
The R&A wants to encourage all golfers to play the game, regardless of any disability that they may have.
There are many organisations for disabled golfers throughout the world offering opportunities for disabled athletes to learn the game, to play and to compete.
EDGA (formerly known as the European Disabled Golf Association) has received approximately £150,000 from The R&A to support their activities in disability golf.
The R&A also provides investment to other organisations supporting disabled golf, including (in 2019) the Henrik Stenson Foundation, Handigolf Foundation and the South African Disabled Golf Association.
