Canadian Picks up Win on Korean Tour DB Insurance Promy Open

With another big win by Brooke Henderson on the LPGA, one Canadian was overlooked for his win on the Korean Tour...

Richard Taehoon Lee was born in Toronto, Ontario but grew up in British Columbia. Richard competes on the Asian/Korean/European Tour.

Lee served notice as a 12-year-old that he would be a player to watch when he shot a 62 at the B.C. Junior Championship at Dawson Creek Golf Club

You may remember him from the 2007 U.S. Open as he played as a 16-year-old.

He competed at the 2019 DB Insurance Promy Open in Korea this past weekend sitting at 979th in the Official World Golf Rankings.

He came through on Sunday to win his 3rd event on the Asian/Korean Tour.

He now moves to 499th in the OWGR with the huge win.

He now resides in Chandler, Arizona.

His father Jeff also competed on the Korean/Asian Tour and now resides as a teaching professional.
