Yaffa Activewear

Yaffa Activewear, a fast-growing luxury sun protection clothing manufacturer, launches a new women’s golf line for fall and spring 2020 at the PGA Fashion & Demo Experience, August 13-15, in Las Vegas.

Yaffa’s introduction of a golf line follows on its mission of offering high-fashion clothing for active women, while providing them protection from the elements. Yaffa already has a popular following in the sun-protection and streetwear market. “Expanding into golf is a natural next step for our brand, as we offer women the chance to be fashionable, perform at their highest level and protect themselves from the sun’s harsh rays,” said Laura Preskin, Yaffa’s Founder and Creative Director.

Yaffa Activewear was founded in 2013 primarily as a designer tennis collection for resorts and country clubs. It is now focusing exclusively on sun protection activewear line for tennis, golf, swim and travel. Yaffa is sold in over 200 country clubs and resorts across the country, along with on-line platforms. Yaffa was featured as the premier brand for Melanoma Awareness at Tennis Warehouse and highlighted as the new chic brand at Indian Wells BNP last March.

Skin cancer is on the rise and many customers and friends of Preskin have shared their stories of melanoma and sun damage and their need for light-weight protective clothing. Yaffa’s fabric is not treated with sun protection, it is made of it. An incredible blend of proven shielding fibers tightly woven to provide a lab-tested UPF50, effectively blocking 98% of UVA and UVB rays, even after 40 washes. Yaffa goes the extra mile on ensuring the highest level of sun protection, independently testing the fabrics for UPF50 with the standards of the AATCC (American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists).

Preskin charted her fashion career through New York’s fashion industry for over 20 years, eventually serving as Head of Design and Merchandising at Danskin. Preskin’s new collection of chic and modern sun protection golf clothing will keep today’s golfer on par with the latest trends while protecting their skin against the harmful rays of the sun. The collection combines the highest level of fashion, fabric, fit, and rating of UPF 50. There are many cross- functional fashion styles that are perfect for jet setters “on-the-go.”
