For the past seven years, PGA TOUR golfer Phil Mickelson and KPMG, a leading audit, tax and advisory firm, have teamed for a trio of programs aimed at making an impact in fighting illiteracy and empowering the next generation of women leaders.
Their partnership kicked off in 2012 as Mickelson and KPMG launched Blue for Books, a program which donates three books to children in need for every sale of the blue KPMG hat worn by Mickelson and LPGA Tour players Stacy Lewis and Mariah Stackhouse. In all, the program has donated more than 200,000 books through the sale of these hats.
“KPMG has started doing a lot for education and I love the association in helping libraries, helping other communities when I win,” Mickelson said.
