By BRAD PARKINS, CJGA

The Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) is pleased to announce the winners of the 2019 GOLFTEC National Order of Merit, presented by TaylorMade. The GOLFTEC National Order of Merit, presented by TaylorMade is a ranking system that awards points based on a player’s position at each CJGA event. Events are tiered based on the size and strength of the field.

Additionally, the CJGA would also like to recognize and congratulate Yasmine Qureshi of Quebec City, QC as the winner to the Helena Harbridge Award. The award is named after Helena Harbridge, an outstanding junior golfer and CJGA alum that passed away in 2006 during her freshman year at West Georgia University.

“Winning this award came as a huge surprise to me” Qureshi noted.  “It shows that the efforts I put into my sport as well as my academics are being recognized and it is very touching to see that CJGA finds some of Helena’s traits in me.”

“I would like to thank my parents for all the support and time they put in so I can exceed in golf and school. I also want to thank my friends for supporting me in everything I do. I would like to thank the Académie de golf Fred Colgan and my coaches for the time they put working on my swing and helping me be a better person overall. Last and definitely not the least, I would like to thank CJGA for presenting me with this award and providing an amazing platform for junior golfers to pursue their passion of golf” stated Yasmine.
