MEN’S TOP 10
While a number of Canadians were participating in the RBC Canadian Open, it was a pair of Canadians on the Web.com Tour who made the biggest moves of the week among the Top-10.
Adam Svensson led the way, picking up 71 spots in world rankings after finishing in a tie for 13th at the Web.com Digital Ally Open. That was worth 1.29 world ranking points for the Surrey, B.C. golfer, his first points-paying finish on the development tour since the middle of June. It was also just his third points-paying result this season.
Roger Sloan gained 24 places in the world rankings after finishing in a tie for 13th at the Web.com Digital Ally Open. The result was worth 1.29 world ranking points and marked his second consecutive points-paying finish. Over the course of the last two weeks, Sloan has picked up 61 places in the world rankings.
Mackenzie Hughes regained No. 2 ranking in Canada, maintaining his world ranking standing at 112 after finishing in a tie for 32nd at the RBC Canadian Open. One of only two Canadians to make the weekend cut, Hughes earned 1.46 world ranking points – his second straight points-paying finish and the fourth in his last five tournaments. It was also his best career result at the national open in three appearances.
Hughes moved past Graham DeLaet, who finished tied for 48th at the RBC Canadian Open.

WOMEN’S TOP 10
Despite skipping the LPGA event in Scotland, top ranked Canadian Brooke Henderson moves back into the top 10 in the world, up to No. 9 ahead of the Women’s British Open. Henderson has four top-10 results this year after playing in 19 of the first 21 LPGA events. She’ll be looking for her second career major title at the British Open, which is the only major championship where she has yet to record a top-10 finish.
Samantha Richdale gained two places in the world rankings to reclaim No. 6 ranking in Canada despite missing the cut at the Symetra Tour event in Michigan.
Other Notable Results: No. 4 Anne-Catherine Tanguay and No. 5 Augusta James both finished tied for 31st at Symetra Tour event in Michigan; No. 7 Brittany Marchand finished tied for 25th at Symetra Tour event in Michigan; No. 10 Elizabeth Tong finished tied for 45th at Symetra Tour event in Michigan

MEN’S AMATEUR TOP 10
Hugo Bernard climbed 14 spots in the world rankings following his second career appearance at the RBC Canadian Open. The move places him at No. 95 in the world, joining Garrett Rank as the only Canadian amateurs ranked within the top 100 in the world.
Austin James was also among the amateurs making his debut at the RBC Canadian Open. He gained 15 places in world ranking and moves up to No. 7 in Canada.
No. 4 ranked Joey Savoie made the biggest move of the week, climbing 25 spots in the world ranking.
Biggest move: Marc-Olivier Plasse gained 1,256 places in the world rankings after finishing runner-up at the Quebec Men’s Provincial Amateur Championship.

WOMEN’S AMATEUR TOP 10
Naomi Ko regains No. 2 ranking after climbing 26 places in world ranking following her tie for third at the Canadian Women’s Amateur Championship. The Golf Canada National Squad member saved her best for last, posting the low round of the day in the final round of the tournament.
Grace St-Germain makes biggest gain among the Top-10, picking up 50 places to regain the No. 7 ranking in Canada after finishing in a tie for 10th at the Canadian Women’s Amateur Championship.
Golf Canada Development Squad member Monet Chun picks up 23 places in world rankings after her tie for 25th at the Canadian Women’s Amateur Championship. The result enabled her to move back into the Top-10 in Canada.
A minor shakeup in the rankings outside the Top-10. Celeste Dao gains 88 places to move up to No. 13 while Michelle Ruiz makes her top 20 debut and Golf Canada Development Squad member Hannah Lee rejoins the top 20.
Biggest Move: Susan Xiao picks up 162 spots after finishing sixth at the Canadian Women’s Amateur Championship. The Surrey, B.C. golfer also climbed four places up to No. 14 in the Canadian rankings
